Languedoc-Roussillon

Languedoc-Roussillon is nestled between Provence and Spain in what is unquestionably the quieter side of the Mediterrean. Long sandy beaches and lagoons transform into rockier coves as the coastline stretches south to where the mountains meet the sea.

The region has the spectacular advantage of being overlooked by the protruding peaks of the mighty Pyrenees. Other benefits of this coastal region are a warm sheltered sea, which is ideal for enjoying water sports or simply basking in the sun. For the more adventurous, activities further inland include horse riding, mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing.
